Arcus is the new name for the Geriatric Center Dr. Schweitzer. It is located on Chaussée de Gand, right in the town centre, and is easy to reach by tram (no. 82) and bus (no. 85).
We cater for both Dutch- and French-speaking seniors.
Able-bodied and disabled residents are welcome. And we have special areas for those with dementia.
A multidisciplinary team is always on hand to provide each senior with the necessary attention and tailor-made care he or she requires.
Every resident is given breathing space and is encouraged to be independent, receiving physical, mental and social stimulation.
In 2008 and 2009 additional accommodation has been built so that a total of 222 seniors can be catered for, more than doubling the capacity.
